A. R. Rahman is back and back with a bang! In his first post- Oscar soundtrack, the modern maestro composes some sizzling tunes. Rahman's typically eclectic compositions traverse the entire world music gamut here. These catchy and crowd-pleasing songs amply display the composer's creativity.

The album begins with Kylie Minogue's beat-driven item-song Chiggy Wiggy, where the Aussie pop-diva is joined by our own Bhangra- performing Sonu Nigam. The real surprise package here is Shreya Ghoshal. Her normally sweet and sentimental voice turns deliciously saucy and sensuous to steal the show. Her Latino-styled Aaj Dil Gustakh Hai (with Sukhvinder), lounge-styled Fiqraana (with Vijay Prakash) and the Bond film's title-song-like ' Rehnuma' (with Sonu Nigam) are definitely the best tunes of the album.

The middle-eastern music- influenced Blue theme and Rashid Ali's contemplative Bhoola Tujhe are also interesting pieces of work. The folk-styled Yaar Milaa Tha (Udit Narayan, Madhushri) is a rather tame concluding number.
