Kaminey

Trust Vishal Bhardwaj to every time come up with something refreshingly different. Kaminey as a film was an enjoyable experience and its music doesn't disappoint either. Bhardwaj's tunes here present an enticing mix of North Indian folk music, 70s Bollywood music and Western pop- rock- rap music.

The popular appeal of this album rests on three rousing robust dance-tracks. Sukhvinder Singh and Vishal Dadlani's 70s- styled Dhan Tan Tan has already been rocking the dance-floors and dominating the music-charts. Suresh Wadkar, Kunal Ganjawala, Rekha Bhardwaj and Sunidhi Chauhan have teamed up nicely in the sizzling marriage-party number Raat ke Dhaai Baje. Sukhvinder and Kailash Kher have rendered the third foot-tapping show-stopper Fatak. All these numbers are made more appealing by some zany lyrics and catchy sound designing.

Mohit Chauhan's sentimental romantic ballad – Pehli Baar Mohaabbat Kee Hai and Vishal Bhardwaj's reflective title-song Kaminey add an emotional layer to the soundtrack. Even the theme-music Go Charlie Go is an imaginative piece of work.
