Raaz, The Mystery Continues

The second installment of Raaz has been panned by the critics as ‘Horror of horrors’ but if there is one redeemable feature about this movie, then, it is its music. No, not the unimaginative background score but rather its varied songs. This Bhatt movie-soundtrack features music from five different composers.

Composer-singers Shaarib and Toshi deliver the chartbuster- Maahi, a melancholic romantic ballad, presented as an upbeat Sufi- Rock fusion number. Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal render a wonderfully stylish romantic duet - Soniyo, where Neeraj Shridhar also lends his touch with backup English vocals. Then KK delivers a catchy club-song O Jaana. Both, Soniyo and O Jaana are composed by Raju Singh.

Composer Pranay Rijia composes the mysterious sounding title-song Kaisa Yeh Raaz, effectively rendered by the redoubtable KK. Finally Gourav Dasgupta dishes out a spiritual Sufi-song Banda Re in Krishna’s voice.
